The Japanese automaker is taking another shot at high performance models like the Subaru Impreza. Starting with the unveiling of Subaru's BRZ concept, this Japanese automaker could take home top sales, as well as some checkered flags.
The Japanese automaker is eager to enter their high performance concept into the Super GT series in Japan.
The concept's production version is set to debut at the Tokyo Motor Show in November. Our fingers here at Power of Bowser are crossed for a Pleasant Hills, PA debut within the next few years.
"Super GT showcases purpose-built race cars, based on production models, running wheel to wheel on road courses in Japan and Malaysia," according to one release. Vehicles are divided to two classes: GT500 (up to 500 horsepower) and GT300 (up to 300 horsepower) - both of which running simultaneously at the event.1
The Japanese automaker and their performance STI division will enter a dominant BRZ coupe in the GT300 class during the 2012 Super GT season.
